NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's basketball team returns to Lloyd Noble Center Monday for the first of three games at home to finish out the regular season. Monday's contest with Texas Tech will tip at 6 p.m. CT.

ON THE AIR

Monday's game will be available on FSOK with Jessica Coody and Brenda VanLengen on the call.

The contest will air on the Sooner Radio Network (KOKC 1420 AM in Oklahoma City; KREF 99.3 FM/1400 AM in Norman; TuneIn radio App) with Brian Brinkley calling the action.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

  • OU will look for its third straight win Monday as Texas Tech comes to Norman. The Sooners will also look to complete its first season sweep of Texas Tech since 2018. OU held on to win a 75-74 thriller in Lubbock in the first meeting between the teams on Jan. 6.

  • The Sooners enter Monday's game off back-to-back road wins over TCU and Texas last week. OU downed TCU 76-60 in Fort Worth on Wednesday before defeating Texas 68-63 in an overtime thriller in Austin on Saturday. OU has won four of its last five games with the sole loss over that stretch to No. 7/8 Baylor on Feb. 21.

  • OU is also looking to boost its resume for the Big 12 and NCAA tournaments; the Sooners currently sit in sixth place in the Big 12 and jumped 10 spots in the RPI rankings to No. 67 after their pair of wins this week. According to the NCAA's NET rankings, OU's strength of schedule ranks 10th nationally.

  • OU currently ranks third in the Big 12 in field goal percentage at 44.4% (504for-1134) on the year. The Sooners are the only team in the league with three players averaging 15.0 PPG or more: Madi Williams ranks fifth at 20.0 PPG; Gabby Gregory is 12th with 15.85; and Taylor Robertson is right behind at 13th with an average 15.50 PPG.

  • The Sooners are now 5-1 in games decided by five points or fewer, good for their most wins in tight games since 2012-13. Of OU's seven conference victories this season, six have come by six points or fewer – OU's 16-point win on Wednesday at TCU was good for the team's largest margin of victory in a Big 12 game in 2020-21.

UP NEXT

The Sooners welcome TCU on Thursday, March 4 at 5 p.m., followed by K-State on Sunday, March 7. Both games will be televised on Fox Sports Oklahoma
