LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire announced Monday the hiring of Preslee Quisenberry to the role of Director of On-Campus Recruiting. Quisenberry, a recent Texas Tech graduate, will begin in the position immediately.
"Since the day I first arrived here at Texas Tech, I have been impressed by the work ethic and preparedness Preslee demonstrates on a daily basis," McGuire said. "Even as a full-time student, Preslee has been our point person for recruiting visits all semester, and we can't wait to watch her continue to grow in this role. We are all proud of Preslee and know she will be a great full-time addition to our program."
In her role, Quisenberry will organize and execute many of the behind-the-scenes aspects of Texas Tech's recruiting operation, planning the accommodations, meals, meetings, tours and activities for prospective student-athletes visiting campus. She will also help oversee the recruiting functions around each home football game.
The position is a familiar one for Quisenberry, who has served as a student assistant in the Texas Tech football office each of the past three years. During that time, Quisenberry has been essential to Texas Tech's recruiting operation, serving as the point person for prospective student-athlete visits throughout the 2021 season, a role she has continued this spring under McGuire.
Quisenberry, like many on the Texas Tech staff, has ties to the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) as her father, Chad Quisenberry, will retire this month as the Athletics Director at Devine High School near San Antonio. He was previously the head coach of the Warhorses for 13 seasons as part of 25-plus years with the school district.
In addition to her role as a student assistant in the football office, Quisenberry was a member of President's Select for three years and also interned with the Texas Tech athletics communications office each of the past three semesters.
Quisenberry earned her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University on Saturday, graduating summa cum laude in only three years as a public relations and strategic communication major.
