Game Recap: Football |

RALEIGH, N.C.  The last time NC State and Texas Tech met was 20 years ago in Lubbock, Texas, when the Pack was ranked No. 17. History repeated itself Saturday when the 16th-ranked Wolfpack entered won 27-14 in front of a home sell-out crowd of 56,919 fans.

FIRST QUARTER (6-0)
After the Pack's first series of the game, punter Shane McDonough came out on fourth down. Despite the visitor's attempt to field the punt, the Red Raiders muffed McDonough's punt and long snapper Joe Shimko recovered the ball inside the red zone at Texas Tech's 13-yard line.

The Pack ran a trick play that had the ball snapped to running back Jordan Houston who pitched the ball to wide receiver Thayer Thomas who then passed to quarterback Devin Leary in the end zone. The game's would-be opening touchdown, however, was called back due to an illegal Pack receiver downfield.

Kicker Christopher Dunn converted a 29-yard field goal to turn the muffed punt into three points. Dunn then doubled the Wolfpack's lead with a 47-yard field goal with 3:27 remaining in the first quarter.

SECOND QUARTER (20-7)
With 4:40 left in the half, the Pack recorded its eighth straight game with an interception after cornerback Aydan White intercepted a pass from the Red Raiders and returned it for 84 yards.

The Red Raiders found the end zone for the lone time in the opening half with 50 seconds left after a 24-yard touchdown pass from Donovan Smith to Myles Price.

THIRD QUARTER (20-7)
C.J. Clark recorded his second sack of the evening after taking down Smith on the Texas Tech 38 yard-line.

FOURTH QUARTER (27-14)
Less than 60 seconds into the quarter, NC State executed a trick play when Thomas found Demie Sumo-Karngbaye 38 yards down the field for a touchdown, giving the Pack a 27-7 lead.

Texas Tech found the end zone for the final time with 10:46 left in the game when Smith plunged in from three yards out.
